When operating a car in a very dusty area, a busy urban cycle (frequent short trips), and when towing a trailer frequently, routine maintenance intervals should be kept as short as possible, if possible.
Maintenance of a new vehicle should be carried out in the original service center of the sales representative of the vehicle manufacturer in order to avoid violating the factory warranty.
Every 400 km (250 miles) mileage or once a week (what comes first)

- Check engine coolant level (see Checking fluid levels (every 400 km or weekly)).
- Check the windshield washer fluid level (see Checking fluid levels (every 400 km or weekly)).

- Check tire inflation pressure (see Checking the condition of tires and their inflation pressure (every 400 km or weekly)).
Every 4800 km (3000 miles) mileage or every 3 months (what comes first)
- Check PAS Fluid Level (see Checking the power steering fluid level (every 4,800 km or every three months)).
- Check ATF AT/CVT level (see Checking the level of ATF AT / CVT (every 4,800 km or every three months)).
- Change engine oil and oil filter (see Changing the engine oil and oil filter (every 4,800 km or every three months)).
Every 12,000 km (7500 miles) mileage or every 6 months (what comes first)
In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:
- Check the condition of the wiper blades and replace if necessary (see Checking the condition and replacing the wiper blades (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
- Check battery status and service (see Checking, servicing and charging the battery (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
- Check the condition and tension of the drive belts, if necessary, make appropriate adjustments (see Checking the condition, adjusting the tension force and replacing the drive belts, (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
- Check the condition of all hoses located in the engine compartment, replace if necessary (see Check of a condition and replacement of the hoses located in an impellent compartment (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
- Check the function and condition of the cooling system components (see Checking the Condition of the Cooling System Components (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
- Rotate your wheels (see Wheel rotation (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
- Check the condition of the front brake pads (see Checking the brake system (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).
Every 25,000 km (15,000 miles) mileage or every 12 months (what comes first)
- Check the function and condition of the brake system components (see Checking the brake system (every 12,000 km or every 6 months)).*
- Check the condition of the seat belts (see Checking the condition of the seat belts (every 24,000 km or every 12 months)).
- Adjust valve clearances (see Checking and adjusting valve clearances (every 24,000 km or every 12 months)).
- Replace the air filter (see Replacing the air cleaner element (every 24,000 km or every two years)).*
- Check the proper functioning and condition of the components of the power system (see Checking the status of power system components (every 24,000 km or every 12 months)).
- Check your MTF level (see Checking the level of manual transmission oil (every 24,000 km or every 12 months)).*
- Check the condition of the suspension and steering components, as well as the protective covers of the CV joints (see Inspection of suspension and steering components, checking the condition of the protective covers of the drive shafts).*
- Check the condition of the exhaust system components (see Check of a condition of components of system of release of the fulfilled gases (every 9600 km or every 6 months)).
Every 48,000 km (30,000 miles) mileage, or every 24 months (what comes first)
In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:
- Replace conventional (not platinum) spark plugs (see Checking the condition and replacing spark plugs).
- Check the condition of the BB wires, cover and distributor slider, if necessary, replace (see Checking the condition and replacing spark plugs).
- Check condition of PCV valve, replace if necessary (see Checking and replacing the valve of the controlled crankcase ventilation system (PCV) (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
- Replace the fuel filter (see Fuel filter replacement (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
- Check idle speed, adjust if necessary (see Checking and adjusting idle speed (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
- Do the service (emptying, rinsing and filling) cooling systems (see Maintenance of the cooling system (emptying, rinsing and filling) (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
- Change your brake fluid (see Brake Fluid Replacement (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
- Replace ATF AT/CVT (see Automatic transmission fluid change (AT/CVT) (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).**
- Replace MTF (see Replacement of transmission oil manual transmission (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
Every 60,000 km (40,000 miles) mileage or every 32 months (what comes first)
In addition to the checks listed in the previous subsection:
- Replace platinum spark plugs (see Checking the condition and replacing the explosive spark plug wires, cover and distributor slider (every 48,000 km or every 24 months)).
Every 145,000 km (90,000 miles) mileage or every 72 months (what comes first)
- Replace the timing belt (see Engine repair without removal from the car - Civic models).
* When operating the vehicle under stressful conditions, perform all procedures marked with an asterisk every 4800 km (3000 miles) mileage or every 3 months (what comes first).
Note. Stress refers to the following operating conditions:
- Strong dustiness of the area;
- Trailer towing;
- Long engine idling/low speed driving;
- Low ambient temperature (below 0°С) combined with short trips (less than 6 km [4 miles]).
** When operating the vehicle under any of the following conditions, procedures marked with two asterisks must be performed every 25,000 km (15,000 miles) (20,000 km [12,000 miles] for CVT equipped models) mileage:
- Tense urban cycle at high fucking environment (over 32°С);
- Driving in hilly or mountainous areas.
