Check the front and rear brakes.
  • Check the thickness of the brake pads and discs.
  • Check for damage or cracks.
  • Check the friction linings for cracks, oil, wear or foreign objects.
  • Check the calipers for damage or leaks and for leaks.

Check the parking brake adjustment••••••
Check the direction of the headlights
  • Check the position of the headlights.

Take a road test (noise, stability, operation of instruments and indicators)
  • Check the stability on the road, the presence of noise, vibrations and the operation of the instruments.

Visually inspect the following components:
  • Check for proper installation and location, cracks, damage, rust and leaks.
  • Check the tightness of screws, nuts and joints. Tighten if necessary.
Tie rod ends, steering gear and covers.
  • Check if there is grease on the rack and steering gear.
  • Check the boot for damage or grease leakage.

Suspension components.
  • Check the tightness of the bolts
  • Check all dust covers for wear or damage
Drive shaft covers.
  • Check for cracks in the covers and clamps
  • Check if there is any grease on the rack
Brake hoses and tubes (including ABS).
  • Check for damage or leaks from the master cylinder, proportioning valve and ABS modulator
The level of all liquids and their condition.
  • Check the level and for leaks. Add engine coolant, MTF fluid, ATF fluid, DPSF fluid (4WD), brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and electrolyte as necessary.
Exhaust system.
  • Check the exhaust pipe and muffler for damage, leaks and tightness
Fuel lines and their joints.
  • Check that the fuel lines are tightly connected and that there are no cracks or damage. Tighten loose joints and replace damaged parts.
Condition of tires.
  • Check your tire pressure and make sure there are no punctures, cuts, or uneven tread wear.
Replace the air cleaner filter elementReplace every 40,000 km
Replace the spark plugs
Check the valve clearances
Check and adjust drive belts.
  • Check for cracks, damage, deflection and tension

Replace the dust filterEvery 30,000 km or 1 year
Replace the fuel filter•
Check the idle speed.•
Change the fluid in the manual transmission.
  • Use genuine Honda Manual Transmission Fluid (MTF)
Every 120,000 km or 8 years
Change the automatic transmission fluid.
  • Use genuine Honda ATF-Z1 fluid
After 120,000 km or 8 years, then replace every 80,000 km or 4 years
Replace the fluid in the rear differential (4WD model).
  • Use genuine Honda DPSF fluid
After 120,000 km or 8 years, then replace every 60,000 km or 4 years
Replace engine coolant.
  • Use genuine Honda All Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2
After 200,000 km or 10 years, then replace every 100,000 km or 5 years
Replace the brake fluid.
  • Use only genuine DOT3 or DOT4 fluid. Genuine Honda Brake Fluid is recommended. Make sure the brake fluid level is between the upper and lower marks on the reservoir.
Once every 3 years
