2. Over time, a road film accumulates on the working surfaces of the brushes, which leads to a noticeable decrease in the efficiency of the windshield wipers. Clean the brushes regularly with a medium strength cleaning solution.
3. During the operation of the wipers, a gradual spontaneous release of fasteners may occur, the reliability of tightening of which should also be checked regularly.
4. If cracks or signs of wear of the rubber working elements are detected, the brushes are replaced.
5. Move the wiper arm away from the glass.
6. Press the locking tab inward and carefully remove the brush from the hook at the end of the lever (see accompanying illustration).
7. If you need to replace the working element of the brush, firmly squeeze the locking tabs on the end of the brush, then grab the element and pull it out of the frame (see accompanying illustration).
8. Remove the metal holders from the rubber working element and insert them into the grooves of the new element (see accompanying illustration).
9. Insert the element into the frame, making sure that the locking tabs are secure.
10. Put the brush on the wiper arm and thread it into the hook, making sure that the locking tab snaps into place.
