1. Carefully inspect the seat belt components (straps, buckles, snaps, anchors and guide loops), checking them for signs of wear or damage.
2. When the ignition key is turned to the RUN or START position, the control lamp on the instrument panel should light up, and the signal buzzer should sound in parallel. With a passive design of the system, the shoulder section of the belt should be placed on the A-pillar of the car body.
3. The belts should lock securely when jerked sharply, while continuing to unwind freely when pulled smoothly. Make sure that the return device functions properly.
4. If defects or signs of malfunction are detected, replace the faulty components of the seat belt assembly.
