1. Lock the wheels using the handbrake. Start the engine, then shift to position [D4] while pressing the brake pedal. Press the accelerator pedal and release it sharply. The engine should not stall.
2. Repeat the same test in position [D3].
3. Move the lever to the [D4] position and check that the shift points appear at approximate speeds on a level road as shown below. Also check for abnormal noise and clutch slippage.

4. Accelerate to approximately 57 km / h so that the transmission is in 4th gear, then switch the knob from the [D4] position to the position where the vehicle should immediately begin to slow down due to engine braking.
Attention. Do not switch the handle from [D4] or [D3] to [2] at speeds exceeding 100 km/h: you may damage the transmission.
5. Check for abnormal noise and clutch slippage in the following positions. Position [2] (2nd gear)
a. Accelerate from a standstill with the throttle fully open. Check for abnormal noise or clutch slippage.
B. Up or down shifts should not occur in this position.
Position [R] (Reverse gear)
Accelerate from a standstill with the throttle fully open and check for abnormal noise and clutch slippage.
6. Test in Position [P] (Parking)
Place the car on a slope (about 16), apply the parking brake and shift to position [P]. Release the brake - the car should not move.
