2. Remove the air filter (see Chapter 4).
3. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation pipe from the cylinder head cover.
4. Remove any wires and/or brackets installed on the cover.

5. Remove the upper camshaft drive belt guard (see Section 7 of this Chapter).
6. Remove the nuts, washers and rubber bushings, then lift the cover. If it is stuck, do not introduce any leverage between the cover and the cylinder head. Use a wooden mallet to knock the cover off with light blows.
7. If necessary, clean the cover and cylinder head from the remains of the old gasket.
8. When installing the cover, use a new gasket. Tighten the fastening nuts to the torque specified in the specifications for this Chapter.
9. Install the removed units and parts in reverse order.
10. Start the engine and check for oil leaks from under the cover, while the oil temperature should be close to operating temperature.
