- To avoid thermal distortion, remove the cylinder head on a cold engine (below 38°С).
- Try not to damage the contact surface under the block and cylinder head gasket.
- Before removing the cylinder head, check the condition of the timing belt (see above).
- Before removing the cylinder head, set the piston of cylinder No. 1 to the TDC position of the compression stroke (see above).
- Use genuine Honda sealant 1216, 5699, 1216E and 5999.
- Label all hoses to avoid confusion during reassembly.
- During installation, replace all O-rings, seals and gaskets with new ones.
