Models with carburetors
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Unscrew the wing nuts from the filter cover, remove the cover, filter element (see Chapter 1).
3. Label and disconnect all hoses.
4. Unscrew the nuts securing the filter housing to the carburetor and the bolts securing the brackets to the camshaft cover. Remove the protective screen (if installed) and lift the filter housing.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Fuel Injected Models
6. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
7. Remove the air filter cover and filter element (see Chapter 1).
8. Mark and remove all hoses from the air cleaner housing.

9. Unfasten the fasteners and remove the casing.
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
