2. Measure the depth of the gland in the socket, then carefully remove the gland with a screwdriver or a special puller. Do not break the oil seal guide or damage the surface of the crankshaft to avoid oil leakage. If a screwdriver is used to remove the oil seal, we recommend wrapping it with electrical tape.
3. Clean the seating surface of the oil seal housing and lubricate the mating surfaces of the new oil seal with engine oil.
4. Using a socket tool or a slightly smaller OD pipe than the gland OD as a mandrel, carefully tap the new gland into the seat. Try to install the new oil seal at the same depth as the old one.

5. Install the camshaft sprocket and drive belt (see Section 7).
6. Start the engine and check that there are no leaks from the front oil seal when the oil is close to operating temperature.
