Note:
  • To avoid damaging the cylinder head, wait until the engine coolant temperature drops to 38°C before removing it.
  • When handling the metal gasket, do not bend it or damage the contact surface.
  • When assembling, install new O-rings and gaskets.


1. CYLINDER HEAD COVER, when installing see below.

2. WASHER, Replace if damaged or out of order.
3. 6x1.0 mm, 9.8 Nm (1.0 kgf/m), when replacing the rubber seal, apply soapy water to the thread and the contact surface of the cylinder head, then remove the soapy water after installing the rubber seal.
4. RUBBER SEAL, replace if damaged or out of order.
5. CYLINDER HEAD BOLT, 10x1.25 mm, 67 Nm (6.8 kgf/m). Tightening (see below). Apply motor oil to the threads.

7. CYLINDER HEAD GASKET, replace.
8. REFERENCE PIN
9. O-RING, replace.
10. 8x1.25 mm, 24 Nm (2.4 kgf/m)
11. DISTRIBUTOR
12. CYLINDER HEAD COVER GASKET, replace if there are signs of leakage, if it is damaged or out of order. Apply sealant to the four corners of the recesses.


Note: Before assembly, clean all components in solvent, dry them and apply grease to the contact surfaces.

Apply motor oil to the threads.
3. 6x1.0 mm, 12Nm (1.2 kgf/m)

6. INTAKE VALVE SPRING
7. INLET VALVE SEAL, replace.
8. VALVE SPRING SEAT
9. INTAKE VALVE GUIDE
10. CAMSHAFT PULLEY
11. 8x1.25 mm, 37 Nm (3.8 kgf/m)
Apply motor oil to the threads.
12. SEAL, replace.
13. CYLINDER HEAD
Removal (see below)
Warping (see below)
Restoration of valve seats (see below)
