Control
Models before 1986
1. Check the condition of the vacuum hose between the throttle body and the sensor. Replace it if necessary.
2. Check the correct connection of the sensor electrical connector and the tightness of the contact in the connector.
3. The remaining control must be carried out using special equipment at a service station.
Models since 1988
4. Turn off the ignition.
5. Remove the "HAZARD" fuse from the fuse panel for 10 seconds to reset the ECU memory.
6. Warm up the engine to operating temperature and make sure that the indicator "CHECK ENGINE" continues to flash.
7. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.

8. Turn the ignition key to the second position, measure the voltage between the yellow/red contact and the "ground". It should be about 5 volts.
9. Measure the voltage between the yellow/red and green/white contacts. It should be about 5 volts.
10. Measure the voltage between the white and green/white contacts. It should be about 5 volts.
11. If the voltage differs from the specified value, replace the sensor.
12. If the sensor is OK, check the sensor circuit. If there are any difficulties, contact the service station.
Replacement
13. Disconnect the wires and vacuum hose from the sensor.
14. Unscrew the bolts securing the sensor to the wall and remove it.
15. Install in reverse order.
