2. Remove the engine bottom cover.
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Remove the cylinder head cover.
5. Set piston #1 to top dead center (TDC). Label «UP» And on the camshaft sprocket should be on top, and the marks of the top dead center (TDC) The B on the sprocket should line up with the top edge of the cylinder head.
6. Turn out a fixing bolt of an arm of the generator A and loosen a fixing bolt of the generator B.
7. Remove the bypass roller.
8. Remove the water pump pulley.
9. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
10. Remove the oil pan.
11. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (CKP) A, then remove the wire harness clamps B.
12. Support the engine with a jack and a block of wood placed under the oil pan.
13. Remove the connection cable from «weight» A, then remove the engine side bracket B.
14. Avoid contact between the alternator and the timing chain case. Remove the chain case A, then the impulse plate B.
15. Measure the non-adherence of the timing chain. If the distance is less than the allowable limit, replace the timing chain and its tensioner.
Standard distance: 19 mm.
Working limit: 15 mm.
16. Lubricate the sliding surface of the timing chain tensioner slider A with engine oil.
17. While holding the timing chain tensioner slider with a screwdriver, remove bolt B and loosen bolt C.
18. Remove the timing chain tensioner slider.
19. Remove timing chain tensioner A and timing chain guide B.
20. Remove the timing chain.
