10. Check if the timing chain housing oil seal is damaged. If the oil seal is damaged, replace the timing chain housing oil seal.
11. Remove any remaining old liquid gasket from the mating surfaces of the timing chain housing, bolts and bolt holes.
12. Clean and dry the mating surfaces of the timing chain housing.
13. Apply liquid sealant P/N 08C70-K0234M, 08C70-K0334M or 08C70-X0331S to the engine block mating surface of the timing chain housing.
Note: Apply a 1.5mm wide layer of sealant along damage line A.

Apply a 3.0 mm wide layer of sealant to the areas of surface B of the timing chain housing that are connected to the upper surfaces of the engine cylinder block,
If 5 minutes or more have passed since applying the liquid sealant, do not install the components. Instead, remove the old layer of liquid sealant and apply a new layer.
14. Install the pulse plate A and timing chain housing B.
Note: Wait 30 minutes before adding oil to the engine.
Do not start the engine for at least 3 hours after installing the timing chain housing.
15. Install the harness clamps A and connect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector B.
