2. Set piston No. 1 to TDC. Label «UP» And on the camshaft sprocket should be on top, and the marks of the top dead center (TDC) The B on the sprocket should line up with the top edge of the cylinder head.
3. Install the timing chain on the crankshaft sprocket so that the colored chain link A is aligned with the TDC mark B on the crankshaft sprocket.
4. Install the timing chain on the exhaust camshaft sprocket with pointer A aligned with the center of the two colored chain links B.
5. Lubricate the threads of the timing chain tensioner mounting bolt A with engine oil.
7. Install the timing chain tensioner slider and lightly tighten the bolt.
8. Lubricate the sliding surface of the timing chain tensioner slider A with new engine oil.
9. Turn the timing chain tensioner slider clockwise to compress the chain tensioner and install the remaining bolt, then tighten the bolts.
10. Check for damage to the timing chain housing oil seal. If the oil seal is damaged, replace the timing chain case oil seal.
11. Remove any old liquid gasket from the mating surfaces of the timing chain case, bolts and bolt holes.
12. Clean and dry the mating surfaces of the timing chain case.
13. Apply liquid sealant P/N 08C70-K0234M, 08C70-K0334M or 08C70-X0331S to the mating surface of the timing chain case to the engine block.
Note. Apply a 1.5 mm wide bead of sealant along damage line A.
Apply a 3.0 mm wide bead of sealant to the areas of surface B of the timing chain case mating to the upper surfaces of the engine block,
If 5 minutes or more has elapsed after applying the liquid sealant, do not install the components. Instead, remove the old layer of liquid sealant and apply a new layer.
14. Install impulse plate A and timing chain case B.
Note. Wait 30 minutes before adding oil to the engine.
Do not start the engine for at least 3 hours after installing the timing chain case.
15. Install the harness clips A and connect the crankshaft position sensor connector (CKP) IN.
16. Install engine side mount bracket A, then lightly tighten new nuts B and lightly tighten bolt C.
17. Install the connection cable with «weight» body D.
18. Remove the air cleaner housing assembly.
19. Loosen the bolts and nuts of the transmission mounting bracket A.
20. Tighten the mounting bolt and nuts of the engine side support bracket.
21. Tighten bolts and nuts of an arm of fastening of transmission.
22. Install the oil pan.
23. Reinstall the crankshaft pulley.
24. Install the cylinder head cover.
25. Install the water pump pulley.
26. Install the idle idler.
28. Install the drive belt and adjust its tension.
29. Perform the computer diagnostic procedure for the position of the crankshaft (TFR) / diagnostic procedure based on the reference position of the TFR sensor.
