Close the corresponding contacts of the service connector and check whether fault code No.21 (P1253) is displayed by the flashing of the PGM-FI indicator lamp.

*The test to reproduce the malfunction while driving is performed at engine speeds above 6000/min with the selector lever in position D for 2 sec. The test is performed 2 or more times.

Attention:

If work is performed indoors, follow these requirements:
  • If the check is performed with the front wheels raised, be sure to use rigid supports and support the rear wheels with chocks.
  • Remove exhaust gases using a pipe and ventilate the room thoroughly.

* Oil pressure is measured at 3 engine speed values: 1000/min, 2000/min and 4000/min.
