Examination
1. Locate the CKF sensor wiring connector on the engine block on the timing belt side (see accompanying illustration). Make sure the ignition key is turned to the OFF position and disconnect the connector.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between the two outer terminals of the connector (not to center terminal). The measurement result must lie in the range of 1.6÷3.2 kOhm, otherwise replace the sensor.
3. Alternately connect an ohmmeter between the body ground and each of the outer terminals of the connector. If there is continuity, replace the sensor.
Replacement
1. Remove the cylinder head cover, crankshaft pulley and timing belt cover (see Engine repair without removal from the car - Civic models).
2. Disunite a socket of electroconducting of the gauge and turn out a fixing bolt.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
