Crankshaft oil seal — installation (Honda HR-V 1)

The surface under the oil seal on the cylinder block must be dry. Apply a thin layer of oil to the crankshaft and to the edge of the oil seal.

1. Press the crankshaft oil seal into the right cover.

Note: Press in the crankshaft oil seal without tilting it.

2. Using a feeler gauge, make sure the gap is the same around the entire circumference. Gap size: 0.5-0.8 mm
