2. Raise the vehicle and remove the lower engine shield.
3. Remove all accessory drive belts.
4. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke (in this case, the white mark on the crankshaft pulley must be aligned with the pointer on the lower camshaft belt cover). Turning the crankshaft during further disassembly and assembly is not permitted.

5. Fix the crankshaft and loosen the pulley bolt counterclockwise (a special key is used to fix the pulley, but you can make it yourself).

6. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
7. When reassembling, tighten the pulley bolt to 177 Nm (CR-V) or 245 Nm (Odyssey).
