normally open type (except PGM-FI 1 Relay, Ignition Coil Relay, PGM-FI Auxiliary Relay, ETCS Relay, Rear Defroster Relay, A/C Fan Relay and Motor Relay)
Check connection between terminals.
There must be a connection between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 if the power and «weight» connected to terminals No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
There should be no connection between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 if the power is disconnected.
1. Disconnect connector D (20P) from the relay and fuse box located in the engine compartment.
2. From the fuse and relay box side of the engine compartment, perform the following checks.
Main Relay 1 PGM-FI
Connect terminal no. 16 to «mass» body. There must be voltage between terminal No. 5 and «weight» body.
Disconnect terminal No. 16 from «masses» body. There must be no voltage between terminal No. 5 and «weight» body.
Ignition Coil Relay:
Connect terminal no. 16 to «mass» body. There must be voltage between terminal No. 18 and «weight» body.
Disconnect terminal No. 16 from «masses» body. There must be no voltage between terminal no. 18 and «weight» body.
Additional relay PGM-FI:
Connect terminal no. 20 to «mass» body. There must be voltage between terminal No. 9 and «weight» body.
