2. Disconnect the connectors from the fuse and relay box located under the control panel.
Note. The view of all connectors is given from the wire side of the terminal outputs.
3. Check the socket and connector terminals to make sure they are making good contact.
If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, correct them and recheck the connections.
If the terminals are OK, go to step 4.
4. Without connecting the connectors, run these input signal tests on the appropriate connector
If any test indicates a problem, locate and repair when retesting.
If all input signal checks show no problem, go to step 5.
5. Connect all connectors on the under-dash fuse/relay box and run these input checks on the appropriate fuse/relay box connectors.
If any test indicates a malfunction, find and eliminate the cause and repeat the test.
If all checks with input signals do not reveal a malfunction, the multiplex integrated control unit is obviously faulty (MICU); replace the fuse and relay box assembly.

Checking the windshield washer motor
1. Remove the right guard of a motor compartment.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector A of the electric motor B of the washer pump.
3. Test the washer motor by connecting battery power to terminal No. 1 of the motor connector and connecting terminal No. 2 to «weight». The drive must work.
If the drive does not work or is stuck, replace it.
If the washer motor operates normally, but washer fluid is not supplied or is not supplied intensively, check if the hose has disconnected from the nozzle, if the nozzle opening or the pump outlet is blocked.

Checking the windshield wiper motor
1. Disconnect 5P connector A from wiper motor B.
2. Check the wiper motor by connecting battery power to terminal No. 3 of the motor connector and connecting terminal No. 2 5P of the motor connector to «weight». The motor should start running at low speed. If the motor does not run or runs intermittently, replace it.
3. Check the wiper motor by connecting battery power to terminal No. 5 of the motor connector and connecting terminal No. 2 5P of the motor connector to «weight». The motor should start running at high speed. If the motor does not run or runs intermittently, replace it.
4. Reconnect the 5P connector. Connect an analog ohmmeter to terminals #4 and #2 and run the wiper motor low or high speed by activating the wiper switch. The ohmmeter needle should pulsate. If the ohmmeter reading is not as specified, replace the wiper motor.
