1. Remove cap nuts and wiper arms.
2. Remove the air grille or fairing, be careful not to break the end of it. It is mounted on plastic clips, the heads look like screws. Remove the plastic liner or seal from the bottom of the fairing.
3. Pull the link rod out of the engine drive arm. This type of connection "ball in the nest" can be very difficult to disconnect. On 1990-91 ACCORD vehicles, remove the center nut and washer to separate the motor arm from the joint.
4. If the engine has a protective casing, remove it.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
6. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the motor.
7. If you are going to remove the connection - disconnect the rods from the pivot points of the wipers. Connection type "ball in the nest" must be disassembled carefully.
8. Pivot pins are screwed to the thermal barrier and can be unscrewed for replacement.
9. Reassemble in reverse order. Make sure the connection to the motor is tight. Tighten the mounting bolts with a torque of 10 Nm. When installing the wiper arms, leave a gap of 25 mm between the glass and the blade. If the wipers deviate too much from the desired position - higher or lower - they will flap too much when working on wet glass.
