2. Disconnect the 2P connector A from the cigarette lighter B.
3. Check the connector terminals to ensure they are in good contact.
If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them and recheck the connections for quality.
If the terminals are OK, proceed to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" (I) position.
5. Check the voltage between terminal #1 of the 2P cigarette lighter connector and the body ground. There should be battery voltage.
If there is battery voltage, proceed to step 6.
If there is no voltage, check:
Blown fuse #29 (20A) or #35 (7.5A) in the relay/fuse box under the dashboard. o Faulty cigarette lighter relay. o Poor ground contact in (G501, G503).
Break in the wire.
6. Check if there is a connection between terminal #2 and the body ground. There should be a connection.
If there is a connection, proceed to step 7.
If there is no connection, check:
- Is the ground connection at point G601 secure?.
- Break in the wire.
7. Install the accessory power socket in the reverse order of removal.
