Auto-reverse operation
The system consists of a main window switch and a window lift actuator on the driver's and front passenger's sides.
The driver's window lift drive includes a pulsator that generates pulses during drive operation and sends them to the driver's window lift control unit. As soon as the window lift control unit detects no pulses from the pulsator, it causes the drive to stop and reverse. If the window is more than half closed, it will return to the middle position. If the window is less than half closed, it will stop and return approximately 5.08 cm. This is done to prevent obstruction during the auto-up operation. The auto-return operation is inactive when the switch is in the up position.
