Note. Before reassembly, check that all parts are free of dirt and other foreign particles.
If required, replace parts with new ones.
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle body as this may damage the paintwork. If brake fluid comes into contact with the paintwork, wash it off immediately with water.
To stop leakage of brake fluid, cover the ends of the disconnected pipes and their connections with pieces of paper towel or similar material.
Note. The drawings show the front of the car.
Withdrawal
1. Replace brake hose A if it is kinked, cracked or leaking.
2. Release the wire clamps and disconnect the wheel speed sensor wire B from the brake hose bracket C.
3. Disconnect the brake hose from the brake pipe connection A using a 10 mm ring wrench B.
4. Remove the brake hose bracket A from the body.
5. Disconnect the brake hose clamp from brake hose connection B.
6. Turn away a wing bolt And and disconnect a brake hose In from a support.
7. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper C of the shock absorber and discard it.
Installation
1. First install the new brake hose A onto the shock absorber bracket B with an 8mm flange bolt.
2. Connect the brake hose to the caliper using the wing bolt C and new sealing washers D.
3. Install brake hose bracket A to brake hose connection B with an 8mm flange bolt, aligning pin C and hole D.
4. Install the brake hose bracket to the body with 6mm flange bolts. Do not kink the brake hose.
5. Connect brake line A to brake hose connection B.
6. Clamp wire A of the wheel speed sensor to bracket B of the brake hose as shown.
7. After installing the brake hose, bleed the brake system.
8. Carry out the following check:
- Check that there is no leakage of brake fluid at the connections between the brake hose and pipe, and tighten if necessary.
- Make sure the brake hoses are not kinked or hitting foreign parts.
