Disassembling the master brake cylinder (Honda Civic 8)

1. Remove the piston rod seal from the master cylinder.

2. Disconnect the expansion tank hose A.

3. Remove the retaining ring A by pressing the secondary piston B inward.

4. Remove block A and expansion tank connecting sleeves B from the master cylinder.

Note: The reservoir coupling bushings must be replaced each time the reservoir assembly is removed from the master cylinder.

5. Remove the locking pin C by pressing the secondary piston D inward.

6. Remove secondary piston A, primary piston B and piston guide C.

7. Remove the tank seal A from the tank lid B.

8. Remove mesh filter C from expansion tank D.
