Pedal Height
1. Turn the brake light switch A counterclockwise and pull it out so that the switch shaft does not touch the brake pedal.
2. Move the mat back and locate the slot in the insulating material. Raise the notch of the insulation material and measure the height B of the pedal, from the center of the left side of the clutch pedal pad to floor C.
- Nominal pedal height (with carpet removed): 132 mm.
3. Loosen jam nut A on booster rod and turn rod B with pliers to get the pedal to the correct position on the floor. After adjustment, tighten the locknut. Never adjust the pedal height by moving the vacuum booster rod.
Brake Switch Adjustment
4. Press the brake light switch so that its stem is fully inserted (the threaded part A has come into contact with the platform B on the pedal). Then turn the switch 45°clockwise to lock it. When the brake light switch is blocked, the gap between the switch and the trim is automatically adjusted to 0.7 mm. Make sure the brake lights go out after the brake pedal is released.
5. Check the free play of the brake pedal.
Pedal free play
1. Turn off the engine. Measure the free play of pedal A at the level of platform B when moving the pedal by hand.
- Free travel: 1-5 mm.
