Errors made during servicing of the airbag system may result in the system being accidentally triggered during service activities, or in the system not being triggered during an accident, so always follow the rules described in the repair manual.

1. Do not work on the airbag system earlier than 3 minutes after setting the ignition switch to the "OFF" position and disconnecting the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

Note: DTCs will not be cleared by turning the ignition switch to the "OFF" position and disconnecting the battery.

24.
