Removal and installation
Attention:
- before disconnecting the connector from the front passive restraint system sensors, disconnect the connectors from the driver and front passenger airbags and seat belt pretensioners;
- do not turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position or connect the wire to the negative battery terminal when replacing the front passive safety sensors.
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 3 minutes.
2. Remove the front fender liner.
3. Disconnect the connector (A) using a TORX key (T30), unscrew the bolts (B) and remove the front passive restraint system sensor (C).
Note: Do not reuse bolts.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the wiring harness when installing the front SRS sensors.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Make sure that the "SRS" indicator comes on for 6 seconds and goes out.
