1. Fill the master cylinder with fresh DOT 3 brake fluid.
Attention! Do not re-use liquid pumped out of the system, as well as liquid that has been stored for a long time in a loosely closed container.
2. Jack up the vehicle and place it on jackstands, ensuring normal access to the slave cylinder on the clutch dome.
3. Remove the dust cap and pull the end of a suitable plastic hose over the cylinder bleed valve (see accompanying illustration). Lower the other end of the hose into a container with transparent walls partially filled with brake fluid. Make sure that the end of the hose is completely immersed in the liquid.
4. Ask an assistant to depress the clutch pedal and lock it in the lower position. Open the bleed valve and let the fluid out of the cylinder into a drain container. When the outflow of liquid mixed with air bubbles stops, tighten the valve tightly again and allow the assistant to release the pedal.
5. Continue pumping in the same manner until the air coming out of the cylinder is completely free of air bubbles. Constantly carefully monitor the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir, avoiding its excessive lowering, dangerous air ingress into the tract and nullifying all efforts made.
6. When finished priming, disconnect the hose and replace the dust cap. Lower the vehicle to the ground and check the clutch for proper operation.
