Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
2. Jack up the car and put it on stands.
3. Loosen the union nut with a special spanner and disconnect the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder (see accompanying illustration). Prepare to collect spilled liquid. Seal the open ends of the line and barb immediately to prevent dirt from entering the system.
4. Turn out two fixing bolts (see accompanying illustration).
5. Remove the executive cylinder.
Installation
1. Install the slave cylinder in its regular place on the clutch dome, hand-tighten the mounting bolts. Make sure the tappet is seated correctly in the clutch release fork pocket.
2. Connect the hydraulic line to the cylinder, then finally tighten the fixing bolts. Tighten the flare nut firmly with a special spanner.
3. Fill the cylinder with the required amount of DOT 3 brake fluid.
4. Bleed the hydraulic system (see Removal of air from the hydraulic path of the clutch release drive).
5. Lower the vehicle to the ground and connect the negative cable to the battery.
