Removal and installation

1. Remove the air filter housing.

Tightening torque - 12 Nm

2. Visually inspect the cable. Replace if necessary.

3. Remove the throttle cable (A).

4. Disconnect the connectors of the idle speed control valve (B), throttle position sensor (C), and fuel vapor canister purge valve (D).

5. Loosen the bolts and nut securing the throttle body.

Tightening torque - 10 Nm

6. Remove the throttle body.

7. Measure the resistance between terminals "2" and "3".

Resistance - 0.4-1.0 kOhm

8. Measure the resistance between terminals "1" and "2" with the throttle valve fully closed.

Resistance - 3.6-5.4 kOhm

9. Assemble in the reverse order of removal. When assembling, install a new sealing ring (E).

Disassembly and assembly

Disassemble as shown in the figure "Disassembling and assembling the throttle body".

Checking and adjusting the throttle cable

1. Check the throttle cable for free play and deflection.

Sag - 10-12 mm

Sag - 10-12 mm

2. If the deflection is not within the specified range, loosen the lock nut (A) and, by turning the adjusting nut, set the cable deflection within the specified range, then tighten the lock nut.

Tightening torque - 10 Nm

3. Make sure that the throttle valve opens when you press the accelerator pedal and closes when you release the accelerator pedal.

4. Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

5. After installation, start the engine. Increase the speed to 3000 rpm without load until the cooling fan turns on, then set the idle speed.

6. Raise the cable and make sure that the cable does not touch anything and has no sag. Adjust if necessary.

a) Attach the lock nut (C) to the cable mounting bracket (A). Adjust the adjusting nut so that there is no deflection.
