Checking and cleaning
1. Make sure the throttle valve opens and closes smoothly.
2. Make sure the throttle valve moves freely.
3. Make sure that when the throttle valve is fully closed, there is no gap between the screw and the stop.
4. Make sure the throttle valve is clean. If there is significant contamination, clean it.
Note:
- Do not wash the throttle body too thoroughly, so as not to wash off the molybdenum grease.
- Do not spray carburetor cleaner toward the throttle shaft.
- a) Remove the throttle body.
- b) Clean carbon deposits from the throttle valve and the inside surface of the throttle body with a paper towel.
- c) Install the throttle body.
- d) Start the engine until the radiator fan comes on and check the idle speed.

Removal and installation
Note: After installing the throttle body, adjust the accelerator cable.
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Remove the accelerator cable.
3. Disconnect the idle speed control valve connector, the throttle position sensor connector, and the evaporative emission system valve connector.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Do not reinstall the "E" gasket.
