Checking the ignition timing angle (Honda Civic 7)

1. Start the engine. Set the speed to 3000 rpm without load until the cooling fan starts to run, then set the speed to idle.

2. Check the idle speed.

3. Install the scanner or special device as shown in the figure.



4. Connect the strobe signal wire to the high-voltage wire of the spark plug of the first cylinder.



5. Make sure that the mark (B) on the crankshaft pulley is aligned with the indicator pins (A).

Ignition advance angle - 8±2° before TDC





6. If the ignition timing angle differs from the specified value, replace the control unit.
