Attention! Wait until the engine has completely cooled down before proceeding with the procedures!
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the equipment!
2. Remove the air sleeve connecting the air cleaner to the throttle body.
3. Disconnect wiring from throttle position sensors (TPS) and absolute pressure in the pipeline (IDA) on the throttle body. Mark and disconnect vacuum hoses from the throttle body.
4. Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle lever (see Removing, installing and adjusting the accelerator cable) and throttle cable in kick-down mode (models with AT - see 4-speed and continuously variable automatic transmissions (at and cvt)).
5. Disconnect the cooling path hoses from the throttle body. Seal open hose ends immediately to minimize coolant loss.
6a. Loosen throttle body fasteners (4 nuts [1994 Integra models], or two nuts and two bolts [other models]) (see accompanying illustrations). Separate the throttle body from the inlet pipeline and remove the sealing gasket. Carefully scrape the traces of the old gasket from the mating surfaces of the throttle body and the air path pressure chamber.
6b. Downdraft throttle body fasteners.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Don't forget to replace the seal. Fastener of the case of a throttle tighten with the demanded effort. In conclusion, adjust the accelerator cables (see Removing, installing and adjusting the accelerator cable) and throttle actuator in kick-down mode (see 4-speed and continuously variable automatic transmissions (at and cvt)). Check the coolant level and correct if necessary.
