Removal



1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the system before disconnecting the battery!


2. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system (see Relieving pressure in the fuel system).

3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the injection injectors (see accompanying illustration).

4. Disconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose from the pressure regulator (see Removal and installation the fuel pressure regulator).

5. Disconnect the ground busbars from the fuel line.

6. Disconnect the fuel supply line from the fuel line.

8b. Remove and discard the old seals and damper rings (see accompanying illustrations).

Note: It makes sense to replace all rings used in injectors, regardless of their condition.


Installation



Caution! To reduce the risk of damage to the sealing rings, the injectors should first be loaded into the fuel line and only then installed on the intake manifold.


1. Lubricate new damper rings with clean engine oil and place them on the injection injectors.

2. Install new sealing rings (also lubricated with engine oil), then fill the injectors into the fuel line (see accompanying illustration).



3. Lubricate the new sealing rings with engine oil and place them in the injector mounting holes in the intake manifold.

4. Install the fuel rail assembly with injectors onto the intake manifold. Tighten the mounting nuts to the required torque.

5. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling.

6. After completing the installation, without starting the engine, turn on the ignition to activate the fuel pump for a couple of seconds and increase the pressure in the fuel system. Repeat this switching on two or three times, then check the fuel lines, main line and injectors for signs of leaks.
