Control
1. The lock switch is not installed on all models, it is located at the upper end of the clutch pedal. The switch has two terminals: one is connected to the "ground", and the second goes to the starter relay. When the clutch is disengaged, when the ignition key is turned to the "start" position, the starter relay is turned on via the lock switch and the starter begins to rotate.
2. If the engine starts to rotate when the clutch is engaged (unpressed pedal) - adjust the lock switch. Also, if the engine does not turn when the clutch is disengaged (pressed pedal).
3. If the engine does not rotate when the pedal is pressed, this means that either there is no voltage supplied to the starter relay through the switch, or the switch is defective.
4. Using a voltmeter or test lamp, trace the electrical circuit, the diagram of which is given in the code of Chapter 12.
Replacement
5. Disconnect the electrical connector, loosen the adjusting nut and remove the switch from the bracket.
Adjustment
6. Loosen the nut and turn the switch until normal operation is restored: with the clutch pedal depressed and the ignition key in the "start" position, the engine should rotate.
