1. The sensor is mounted next to the thermostat and ignition distributor.
2. The sensor contacts should close at a temperature of 91-95°C and open at a temperature 3-8°C below the contact closing temperature.
Odyssey (4-cyl.)
1. These vehicles are equipped with 2 sensors, which are located on the left side of the engine behind the ignition distributor. Sensor A faces upward, sensor B faces the engine compartment wall.
2. The contacts of sensor A should close at a temperature of 91-95°C, sensor B - at 103-109°C. The contacts should open at a temperature of 3-8°C (sensor A) or 4-9°C (sensor B) below the contact closing temperature.
Odyssey V6
1. These cars have 2 sensors, sensor A is on the battery side, sensor B is on the radiator side.
2. The contacts of sensor A should close at a temperature of 91-95°C, sensor B - at 96-102°C. The contacts should open at a temperature of 3-8°C (sensor A) or 3-10°C (sensor B) below the contact closing temperature.
To remove the sensor, drain the fluid from the cooling system and unscrew the sensor.
