2. Remove the air filter assembly (Chapter 4).
3. Remove the camshaft cover (Chapter 2A).
4. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC (Chapter 2A).
5. Adjust backlashes in valves of the first cylinder.
6. Start by adjusting the intake valve.
Note: Most engine models have 2 inlet valves. Both valves are individually adjustable. Adjustment is carried out on a flat probe using a spanner wrench and a screwdriver.
7. Adjust the clearance in the outlet valve. On models with four valves per cylinder, adjust both exhaust valves.
8. Turn the crankshaft 180°and adjust the clearances in the third cylinder.
9. Turn the crankshaft 180°and adjust the clearances in the fourth cylinder.
10. Turn the crankshaft 180°and adjust the clearances in the second cylinder.
11. Check up backlashes once again, having passed on all cylinders.
12. Install the removed parts.
