Caution. The crankshaft pulley bolt has a right-hand thread. When turning the crankshaft counterclockwise using the pulley bolt, the bolt may come loose. After completing the work, tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt (16x1.5 mm) to the required force using a TORX key.
- Perform adjustments at oil temperature of 10-40°C.
- Perform the adjustment on each cylinder at the TDC position of the compression stroke (when the intake and exhaust valve rocker arms are not raised).
1. Remove the valve cover and the top cover. Set the piston of cylinder No.1 to the TDC position of the compression stroke according to the marks on the camshaft pulley.

2. Loosen the rocker arm adjusting screw lock nut and adjust the valve clearance by turning the adjusting screw.

Standard valve clearances:
- Inlet valves: 0.24-0.28 mm
- Exhaust valves: 0.28-0.32 mm
3. Tighten the lock nut and use a feeler gauge to re-measure the clearance.

Caution: When tightening the lock nut, be sure to use a TORX key.
4. Adjust the valve clearances on the other cylinders in accordance with paragraphs 2-3.
