Attention. The crankshaft pulley bolt has a right hand thread. When turning the crankshaft counterclockwise using the pulley bolt, the bolt may loosen. After finishing work, tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt (16x1.5mm) with the required force using a TORX key.

- Carry out the adjustment at an oil temperature of 10-40°C.
- Adjust on each cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke (when the rocker arms of the intake and exhaust valves are not raised).
1. Remove valve cover and top cover. Set the piston of cylinder No. 1 to the TDC position of the compression stroke according to the marks on the camshaft pulley.
- See below for valve cover installation.
2. Loosen the rocker arm adjusting screw locknut and adjust the valve clearance by turning the adjusting screw.
Standard valve clearances:
- Intake valves: 0.24-0.28mm
- Exhaust valves: 0.28-0.32mm
3. Tighten the locknut and use a feeler gauge to re-measure the clearance.
Attention. Be sure to use a TORX wrench when tightening the locknut.
4. Adjust valve clearances on other cylinders in accordance with paragraphs. 2-3.
