Note. The figure shows the dashboard of a car with a gasoline engine.
Burglar alarm indicator (for some vehicle variants)
The indicator lights up when the alarm system is on.
Low fuel warning light
The signaling device is located on the panel of the gauge of level of fuel. The luminous signaling device reminds of the need to fill the fuel tank.
In addition, the symbol is displayed on the multifunction display, which may be accompanied by a warning «FUEL LOW» («Low fuel») or «DIESEL FUEL LOW» («Low level of diesel fuel»).
The glow of the signaling device means that no more than 7.5 liters of fuel remain in the tank. After this amount of fuel has been used up, the needle of the fuel gauge will be set to 0. At the same time, there will still be a minimum reserve fuel in the tank.
Button for switching the dimensions of the values displayed on the display (mph - km/h) (only for cars with right steering column position)
Press the dimension switch button and keep it pressed until you hear a beep. Each time you press the button, the speedometer, trip odometer and odometer displayed on the speedometer and multifunction display change with km (km/h) for miles (mph) or vice versa.
The above shows the display when changing the dimensions of the values.
When the ignition key is turned to position «ON» (II) the dimensions that were previously set are restored.
On vehicles shipped from the factory, the default dimension is set to «mph». Therefore, even if you set the dimension «km/h», the system will return to the default dimension if the battery is disconnected or completely discharged.
Speedometer
The speedometer shows the speed of the vehicle. The scale of the speedometer, depending on the version of the device, can be graduated in «km/h» or «mph».
For a vehicle with a right-hand steering column, it is possible to switch between the indicated dimensions.
The car has a function to turn on the warning sound signal (buzzer) in case of exceeding the maximum speed of the vehicle.
Tachometer
The tachometer shows the engine speed. The tachometer scale is graduated in «min-1». In order to avoid engine failure, it is forbidden to exceed the maximum permissible speed of the crankshaft (the tachometer needle should never enter the red zone of the scale).
Coolant temperature gauge
The device displays the temperature of the engine coolant. The normal operating temperature of the engine during normal operation of the vehicle corresponds to the middle position of the pointer. Under severe operating conditions, such as in very hot weather or when the vehicle is driven on a long hill for a long time, the pointer needle may rise to the red top mark on the scale. If the engine temperature has increased so much that the pointer is on the red mark on the scale, you should immediately pull over and stop the car.
Fuel gauge in the tank
The device shows the relative amount of fuel in the tank. The pointer works with a slight error. When the ignition is turned off, the indicator is set to zero.
Attention! Only for vehicles with petrol engines. Avoid driving with a minimum amount of fuel in the tank, as this may cause engine misfiring and damage to the catalytic converter.
Attention! For vehicles with diesel engines only. When you try to restart an engine that has stalled due to lack of fuel in the tank, the engine malfunction indicator or glow plug indicator turns on.
RPM indicator
Using this indicator, you can quickly assess how close the tachometer needle has come to the red zone of the scale. If all six indicator lamps are lit, the speed has reached the red zone.
To prevent damage to the engine, reduce the speed if the tachometer needle is within the red zone of the scale.
Fuel consumption indicator
This indicator allows you to visually assess the specific fuel consumption. If all six indicator lamps are lit, the engine is operating in the most economical mode. If all lamps are off, the fuel consumption is excessive.
Multifunctional information display
The multifunction display is located on the instrument panel in the middle of the tachometer. When the ignition is on, a variety of information is displayed in the form of text messages and icons. Some messages help you drive. Other messages provide information about the vehicle's condition so that the driver can avoid possible problems.
All messages are divided into two types: ordinary information messages and messages that warn the driver about a possible malfunction of the vehicle's systems.
You can select the language for text messages, as well as customize some system settings to your liking using the multifunction display and two buttons located on the steering wheel.
Information messages and pictograms
The multifunction display is divided into two zones: upper and lower. Each zone can display two message lines.
In the normal information display mode, the upper zone displays the readings of the on-board computer, and the lower zone shows the readings of the odometer, trip odometer and outside temperature.
Steering wheel controls (for vehicles with cruise control)
When the ignition key is turned to position «ON» (II) In the upper area of the display, the fuel consumption information first appears. After each button press «INFO» Instantaneous fuel consumption information is successively replaced by the following data: average fuel consumption, estimated remaining mileage based on fuel remaining in the tank, travel time, average driving speed, rear seat belt status, and finally a blank display as shown on the next page.
If there is a warning message in the system, it is displayed immediately after the instant fuel consumption information. When the ignition key is turned to position «ON» (II) messages with the highest priority are displayed first.
Information display modes
The average fuel consumption is updated on the display every 10 seconds. When you reset the trip meter, the average fuel consumption meter is also reset. To reset the counters, press and hold the button ««SEL/RESET» «(«Selection/Setting») until the value 0.0 appears on the display.
Odometer
In normal operation, the lower area of the display always shows the odometer, trip odometer and outside temperature.
The odometer shows the total number of kilometers (or miles) mileage over the entire life of the vehicle.
Trip odometers
The trip odometer shows the number of kilometers (or miles) mileage since the last meter reset.
The vehicle is equipped with two trip meters: trip A and trip B. To switch between trip A or B displayed, press the button ««SEL/RESET» «(«Selection/Setting»). When the ignition key is turned to position «ON» (II) the display shows the value that was previously displayed last.
Each trip counter operates independently of the other. This makes it possible to record the distances traveled during different trips.
In order to reset the mileage readings for the trip, display them on the digital display, press the button ««SEL/RESET» «(«Selection/Setting») and keep it pressed until the value appears «0.0» on display.
The icon or appears in the upper area of the display, depending on which trip (A or B) selected in the lower area of the display.
Outside temperature gauge
The pointer informs the driver about the outside temperature in degrees Celsius.
The temperature sensor is built into the front bumper. Therefore, the measured temperature value can be affected by thermal radiation from the road surface, the heat emitted by the engine, as well as the heat of the exhaust gases of vehicles participating in road traffic. Therefore, when driving at a speed of less than 30 km / h, the measurement error can be significant.
The temperature values are updated on the display with a delay of several minutes, which is necessary for the sensor to warm up or cool down to the outside temperature.
