Removal and installation
1. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands.
2. Loosen the nuts and remove the wheel.

3. Unlock the rim (B) of the nut (A) and unscrew the nut.
Tightening torque - 185 Nm

4. Remove the brake drum.
Note: If the brake drum cannot be removed, install two suitable bolts into the drum holes as shown in the figure.

5. Loosen the bolts and remove the parking brake cable and cable holder.
Tightening torque - 10 Nm

6. (Sedan) Disconnect the brake pipes from the brake shield.
Tightening torque - 15 Nm

7. (Sedan) Loosen the bolts and remove the brake shield.
Tightening torque - 103 Nm
8. (Sedan) Loosen the bolts and remove the brake hose bracket and wheel speed sensor.

9. (Hatchback) Disconnect the brake master cylinder pipe (A).

10. (Hatchback) Loosen the bolts and remove the brake pipe bracket (C) and wheel speed sensor (B).
Removal and installation the rear wheel hub (4WD models). 1 - bearing, 2 - nut, 3 - brake drum, 4 - brake shoes, 5 - hub, 6 - brake shield, 7 - retaining ring, 8 - bearing holder.
Note: Do not disconnect the speed sensor connector.
11. Jack up the trailing arm, unscrew the bolt and disconnect the upper transverse arm from the bearing holder.
Sedan.
Hatchback.
12. Make marks on the adjusting bolt and cam, then loosen the nut.
Tightening torque - 59 Nm
Sedan.
Hatchback.

13. Loosen the bolt and remove the bearing holder.
Tightening torque: 69 Nm
Note:
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- When installing:
- align the marks on the adjusting bolt and cam;
- use new nuts and cap;
- lock the hub mounting nut;
- check and, if necessary, adjust the rear wheel alignment angles;
- check and, if necessary, adjust the travel of the parking brake lever.
Bearing replacement (sedan)
1. Remove the bearing retainer.
2. Using a press and a mandrel, press the hub out of the bearing holder.

Note: If the inner ring (B) of the bearing remains on the hub (A), then use special tools and a press to remove the ring from the hub.

3. Loosen the bolts and remove the brake shield from the bearing holder.

4. Install the brake shield onto the new bearing carrier.
5. Using special tools and a press, install the hub into the bearing holder.

Bearing replacement (hatchback)
1. Remove the bearing retainer.
2. Using a press and a mandrel, press the hub (B) out of the bearing holder (A).

Note: If the inner ring (B) of the bearing remains on the hub (A), then use special tools and a press to remove the ring from the hub.

3. Loosen the bolts and remove the brake shield (A) from the bearing holder (C).

4. Remove the retaining ring (B).
5. Using special tools and a press, press the bearing (B) out of the bearing holder (A).

6. Install the new bearing (B) as shown in the illustration and using the old bearing (C) and a steel plate (D), press the new bearing into the bearing retainer (A).

7. Install the retaining ring (B) and brake shield (A) onto the bearing holder, then tighten the bolts.
Tightening torque - 55 Nm

8. Using special tools and a press, install the hub (A) into the bearing holder (B).
