Warning:
- Make sure all rocker arms are aligned with the valves when tightening the bolts.
- The valve locknuts must be loosened and the adjusting screws removed before installation.
- To prevent the rocker arms from breaking as an assembly, leave the camshaft retainer bolts in the holes.
1. Clean the camshaft oil seal, journals and camshaft bed in the cylinder head, lubricate both surfaces and install the camshaft,
2. Clean and install the oil adjustment hole with a new O-ring.

3. Turn the camshaft until its keyway is facing upwards (piston of the first cylinder at TDC).
4. Apply the "liquid" gasket (P/N OY740 - 99986 or 08C70 - X0134S) to the contact surfaces of holder No.1 and No.5 of the camshaft.
Caution: Clean and dry the cylinder head mating surfaces before applying the "liquid" gasket.
- Apply "liquid" liner to shaded areas.

5. Install the rocker arm assembly into place and loosely install the bolts.
- Make sure the rocker arms are properly seated on the valve stems.
6. Tighten each bolt two turns at a time in the sequence shown below.
Caution: Use a rag to remove excess "liquid" gasket from camshaft holders #1 and #5.
Tightening force:
- Bolts 8 mm: 20 Nm
- Apply a coat of motor oil to the threads.
- Bolts 8 mm: 12 Nm
- Apply a coat of motor oil to the threads.
- Bolts 6 mm: No.11, No.12, No.13, No.14

7. Install the rear cover, then install the camshaft pulley.
