Installation
Note:
- When tightening the rocker arm mounting bolts, make sure all rocker arms are aligned with the valves.
- Before installation, loosen the valve locknuts and unscrew the adjusting screws.
- To prevent the rocker arm assemblies from falling out, leave the camshaft bracket bolts in place.
1. After wiping the camshaft, camshaft oil seal and bearing journals in the cylinder head, lubricate both surfaces and install the camshaft.
2. Clean and install the oil jet with a new O-ring.
1. camshaft. keyway up; 2. oil jet. clean; 3. O-ring. replace; 4. camshaft seal. the gland holder must be dry. apply a thin layer of oil to the camshaft and the inner lip of the oil seal
3. Rotate the camshaft until the keyway is on top (in the position of the piston of cylinder No. 1 at TDC).
4. Apply sealant (P/N 08C70 - K0234M, 08C70 - K0334M or 08C70 - X0331S) on the contact surface of the cylinder head under the brackets No. 1 and No. 5 of the camshaft.
Note: Clean and dry the contact surfaces of the cylinder head before applying sealant.
5. Reinstall rocker arm assemblies and install bolts. Make sure the rocker arms are properly seated on the valve stems.
6. To prevent the rocker arms from getting stuck on the valves, tighten the bolts two turns at a time in the sequence shown below.
Note: Remove excess sealant from #1 and #5 camshaft brackets with a paper towel.
7. Establish a back cover, then put on a camshaft pulley.

2. Camshaft pulley. Clean before installation.
3. 8x1.25 mm, 37 Nm (3.8 kgf/m). Apply engine oil to the bolt threads.
4. 6x1.0 mm, 12 Nm (1.2 kgf/m).
