Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove the cylinder head cover.
3. Turning the crankshaft counterclockwise, align the marks on the crankshaft pulleys with the pointers, with the UP marks on the camshaft sprockets facing up.
4. Remove the camshaft belt (see below).
5. Remove the ignition distributor (Ch. 2).
6. Release locknuts of adjusting screws of yokes.
7. Loosen the camshaft bearing cap bolts evenly and gradually, 1/2 turn at a time, until the bolts turn away by hand.
8. Designate and remove covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft, a cam-shaft and yokes.
Installation
9. Make sure that the alignment of the crankshaft marks is not broken, otherwise align the marks by tightening the crankshaft.
10. Install the rocker arms in place.
11. Install the camshaft in the cylinder head so that the UP mark on the sprocket is facing up and the TDC mark is aligned with the pointer.
12. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the outer edges of the first and sixth covers of both camshafts (shaded areas in the photo).
13. Replace the plug at the rear of the cylinder head on the exhaust camshaft side.
14. Install bearing journal covers and tighten bolts to 9.8 Nm. in the order shown in the photo.
15. Install the camshaft belt.
16. Adjust the clearances in the valve drive mechanism.
17. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders, having greased a lining with hermetic on corners. Install the rest of the removed parts.
