Lower arm (models produced since 1988) — removal and installation (Honda Civic 3)

1. Loosen the front wheel nuts, lift the car and place it on stands. Remove the wheels.

2. Disconnect the shock absorber fork from the lower arm (see section 2).

3. Disconnect the reaction rod from the lower arm (see section 10).

4. Disconnect the stabilizer from the lower arm (see section 9).



5. Remove the cotter pin from the lower ball joint castle nut. Loosen the nut. Use a puller to remove the lower arm from the ball joint of the steering knuckle (see fig. 11.4).



6. Remove the bolt from the inner end of the lower arm and remove the arm (see fig. 11.5).

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal
