1. Release the front wheel fastenings, lift the car and place it on stands. Remove the wheels.
2. Remove the upper ball joint protection (see fig. 1.5).
3. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew, but do not remove, the castle nut from the upper ball joint.
4. Separate the upper arm from the steering knuckle using a ball joint puller (see fig. 7.4).
5. Unscrew the upper arm fastener (see fig. 1.5). Make sure that the bolt heads face the shock absorber.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
