1. Release the front wheel mount, raise the vehicle and place it on stands. Remove wheels.
2. Remove the upper ball joint protection (see fig. 1.5).
3. Remove cotter pin and unscrew, but do not remove, castle nut from upper ball joint.
4. Separate the upper arm from the steering knuckle with a ball joint puller (see fig. 7.4).
5. Turn away fastening of the top lever (see fig. 1.5). Make sure the bolt heads are facing the shock absorber.
6. Installation is made in the return to removal order.
