Driving a car
4WD vehicles have a huge advantage over 2WD vehicles on sandy, swampy, mountainous and slippery roads. The accelerator pedal, steering wheel, and brake pedal are operated in the same way as on conventional vehicles.
4WD models are not designed for off-road driving and rallying.
When driving, follow these guidelines:
- Refrain from long driving on sandy, swampy, etc. roads when the wheels may slip.
- Avoid driving on water.
- The braking distance of 4WD models is the same as that of 2WD models, so keep a safe distance on slippery roads.
Note. If the oil in the system overheats as a result of prolonged wheel slip in 4WD mode, the vehicle may switch to 2WD mode for protection. Some time after the oil cools down, the 4WD mode will turn on again.
Maintenance of 4WD models
Attention:
- The vehicle must be fitted with wheels with unworn tires of the same size, same type and same tread pattern, otherwise the transmission will be adversely affected.
- Under no circumstances should the vehicle be towed with only the front or rear wheels raised. Otherwise, the transmission may be seriously damaged.
