2. On 1984-1987 models, remove the steering/suspension assembly clamp (see section 8). Remove the bolts securing the stabilizer to the beam (see fig. 5.3).
3. On models produced since 1988, remove the stabilizer mount from the bottom of the vehicle.

4. On 1984-1987 models, disconnect the stabilizer bar mounting bolt from the torque arm (see fig. 5.3). On models produced since 1988, disconnect the stabilizer from the lower arm. Remember the order of installation of the parts.

5. Remove the stabilizer.
6. Pull the brackets off the stabilizer and inspect the bushings. Cracks, wear and other damage are unacceptable - replace the bushings.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
