Note: The hub bearings do not need to be lubricated. If the bearings are worn or damaged, the entire hub is replaced.
1. Loosen the wheel nuts, raise the vehicle and place it on stands. Remove wheels.
2. Remove the brake drum or disc (see chapter 9).
3. Loosen the hub nut, unscrew it and remove the thrust washer (see fig. 14.4).
4. Pull the hub off the splines. If necessary, use a puller
5. Install new hub and thrust washer, torque new nut to specification, and lock nut.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
