Withdrawal
1. Loosen the wheel nuts, raise the front of the car and place it on stands.
Release models 1984-1987
2. Place a jack under the lower arm. Raise the jack until the load is removed from the top mounting nuts.

3. Remove the brake hoses from the rack brackets.

4. Remove the parking bolt from the rack clamp, slowly lower the jack and dismantle the rack from the steering knuckle, if necessary, separate the parts by lightly prying with a hammer.
Attention: the lower arm must be securely on the jack: the lower arm is loaded with a torsion bar, which will give a reaction when the lever slips.
5. Remove the rack mounting nuts in the engine compartment
6. Pull out the stand.
Models since 1987
7. Turn away an arm of a brake hose from the shock-absorber and a rotary fist.
8. Remove the pinch bolt at the top of the shock fork (see fig. 1.5).
9. Remove the through bolt securing the shock absorber fork to the lower arm (see fig. 1.5).
10 Remove the nuts securing the shock absorber to the strut tunnel in the engine compartment (see fig. 1.5) and remove the shock absorber.
Attention: do not remove the large nut at the top of the shock absorber, it secures the spring.
Installation
11. Insert the shock absorber and secure the nuts from the side of the engine compartment.
Note: Final tighten the nuts when the vehicle is on the ground.
12. On models before 1988, attach the lower end of the strut to the steering knuckle, if necessary, carefully raise the steering knuckle with a jack. On models from 1988, install the shock absorber fork (do not tighten the bolt nut). On all models, orient the upright so that the protrusion on the upright aligns with the slot in the fork or knuckle. Install the tie bolt and torque to specification.
13. On release models from 1988, place a jack under the steering knuckle. Raise the car up like this. to lift the car off the jack.
14. Tighten the shock absorber fork pinch bolt and the nut of the fork bolt to the lower arm (nut must be new). The tightening torque is specified in the specification.
15. Establish on a place of fastening of a brake hose.
16. Remove the jack.
17. Install the wheels and fasten the nuts, lower the car and tighten the nuts.
18. Tighten nuts of fastening of a rack from outside a motor compartment with the effort specified in the specification.
