2. Disconnect the suction hose A from the fuel pump and connect the vacuum pump B.
3. Start the engine and check the vacuum hoses and tubes.
- If there is a vacuum, go to step 4.
- If there is no vacuum, replace the fuel filter.
4. Turn the ignition key to position «OFF».
5. Connect vacuum pump A to the suction pump and apply vacuum to pump B.
- If the vacuum holds, check for a blockage in the suction line and replace the 3-way connection.
- If the vacuum does not hold, go to step 6.
6. Disconnect the vent hose A on the filler side from the three-way connection and place the rubber cap C on the three-way connection.
7. Connect vacuum pump A to the suction pump and apply vacuum to pump B.
- If the vacuum holds, check for a blockage between the 3-way connection to the fuel tank's vapor separation valve on the vent line. If the line is OK, replace the fuel tank.
- If the vacuum does not hold, go to step 8.
8. Connect vacuum pump A to vent hose B at the filler side and apply air pressure to the hose.
- If air pressure holds, check for blockage between the three-way connection and the base of the filler neck on the vent line.
- If air pressure does not hold, go to step 9.
9. Remove the rubber cap from the 3-way connection, reconnect the vent hose to the 3-way connection.
10. Connect vacuum pump A to suction hose B and apply air pressure to the hose.
- If the air pressure holds, the vent line and suction line are good.
- If the air pressure does not hold, check for vacuum leaks on the suction hose and replace the 3-way fitting.
